So much fun, let’s do it again

Rachel has posted an excellent poem and commentary at Velveteen Rabbi on the subject of sacrifice. As I began to write a response to it, a strong feeling of déja vù came over me; and sure enough, checking the ExecutivePagan archives, I found that I had already responded to this same poem (with different, much shorter commentary) in 2008. It’s still true, though, so for what it’s worth here it is again!
